British TV presenter Konnie Huq has helped launch the British Heart Foundation's partnership with furniture store DFS, with plans to raise £2m over the next year.
Customers who buy a new sofa from the store are encouraged to have their unwanted sofa collected for free by the charity's Furniture & Electrical Stores, to then be sold in store to help raise funds. Huq commented 'The fight against heart disease is a cause that's very close to me, which is why I am delighted to be supporting the partnership. The beauty of the scheme is that it's simple'.
